Greenpilgrim
I upgraded my site on a test domain from 1.4.7.0 to 1.5.1.0, It seemed to upgrade fine all the products and stuff are there. Also note that I upgraded manually as 1 Click did not work for me. But When i click the front office I get a 500 error, I also get a 500 error when clicking on the following in the back office: Modules->Modules Modules-> Positions Modules -> Payment Anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix it? Thanks Chris Edited October 10, 2012 by Greenpilgrim (see edit history)

Greenpilgrim
Hi Thanks for the tip, However does not seem to work for me. I found this http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/prestashop-15/catalog-setup/enable-error-reporting on how to enable error reporting so that has helped abit I can narrow down the error. So far i have found: For the Shop Page Fatal error: Cannot make non static method ModuleCore::display() static in class PayPal in /homepages/30/d379090656/htdocs/Prestashoptest/modules/paypal/paypal.php on line 1374 Seems that the paypal module is the main issue after the upgrade. I will see if i can figure it out. Thanks Chris
Greenpilgrim
So I Downloaded the latest Paypal Module and replaced the old file with the new one and now front office and positions tab are working. Downloaded the latest dibs module and replaced the old one and that seems to have solved the problems, Front office and the modules tabs are showing now. Thanks for the info, without it I would not have found the turn the error reporting on. Many Thanks Chris Edited October 10, 2012 by Greenpilgrim (see edit history)
benjamin utterback
Hello GreenPilgrim, I'm glad you found a solution. Thank you for posting the solution that worked for you. Yes, turning on error reporting is the best way to debug a PrestaShop store. I will go ahead and mark this thread as Solved for now. Thank you for choosing PrestaShop! jwldub
The PayPal module that comes pre-installed on Prestashop is old and out of date. It will not work. You will have to delete this from the Modules section and also in the public_html/store/modules/PayPal area of the file manager. Then you will need to download the updated FREE PayPal module here: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/search?search_query=paypal Then go back to the Prestashop Back Office Modules and then click “Add New” then upload the PayPal module .zip file. This should solve the PayPal problem.
