TGB_Beer Posted October 9, 2012 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Hey guys, Using USPS and Version 1.4.8.2 Does anyone know if there is anyway to set-up a specific shipping cost for a certain product. For example I want to make shipping on a beer pong table 24.95 but only certain items will be certain shipping costs and I dont want the calculator to adjust anything aside from knowing that item should just be 24.95. You can do this via the Back-Office when you edit a product. ffl247 Posted October 12, 2012 Share Posted October 12, 2012 Hi TGB_Beer Have you considered the free module StiffCarrierCateg ? My hunch is that this module might help you out. Works flawlessly for me under PS 1.4.6.2 but apparently there are later versions (http://store.stiff.fr/lang-en/module-stiffcarriercateg/57-stiffcarriercateg-v1611.html). It lets you assign carriers to categories of carriers and restrict the choice of carrier for a specific product for the customer to the carriers that belong to the category. However, if you work your way thru the BO setting the module up, you are fine, because in the FO there are no expressions or what so ever. I've had no answer from them yet if the module will become available for PS 1.5 up. Which, if not, would be a pity as it complements the PS shipping functions perfectly and works great. Is yours still working well? I really need this functionality, and the only solution I can find in the addons store that seems to do the job costs £230+tax. Seems a high price considering this functionality is included in prestashop 1.5. But I still don't want to upgrade until 1.5 is more stable. Like you I am also using 1.4.6.2.
