White screen of death on some admin pages straight out of Installatron

I confirmed CHMOD on the /cache folder as 755 and 777 .... I heard good things about prestashop and hope this is an easy fix so i can get on with it..

I've scoured the forums, there sure is a lot of WPoD stuff but I can't find a conclusive fix.

 

Only some admin pages white-out: most notably:

I have tired to restore files from a week ago and a month ago. it didnt work

you've got there 500 internal server error

turn error reporting on and then try to open your website

if any additional error appear - just paste it here

For manual cache clear you need to access your Prestashop installation directory and delete the content of the following folders:

1. cache/smarty/compile
   
2. cache/smarty/cache
   

 

if this will not help, it mean that the problem is somewhere else

i actually replaced the entire folder tools/smarty/sysplugins as after replacing a file, i get a new error...again and again..all from the same folder.

 

hence it seems to be working ok now. i hope

i suppose that it was related to the smarty compilation files, i don't know exactly what - just suppose that it might be related to the modules, but im not sure at all.

 

do you remember, maybe you installed some addon right before this issue start to appears?

I did. We did a monthly backup restore and a weekly one. Both did not work. I'm not sure why at all. Blue host did it for me. Still can't
