New ps 1.5 version exstremely hard to setup

Been playing with the new version 1.5 and compared to 1.4.8 i have used on many shops, the new version is not something I would expose my customers to.

 

Especially those who wants to do much of the setup themselves, they will have a really hard time doing that.

 

There might be the Multistore feature which basicly is a good idea, but setting it up is a pain.

 

ex. like with the 1.4.8 you could manage your ht.access from the backoffice, that is not possible in 1.5 and that is VERY bad.

 

f.ex I need to extend these values to this in order to get more languages to work:

 

php_value suhosin.post.max_vars 10000

php_value suhosin.get.max_vars 10000

php_value suhosin.request.max_vars 10000

 

And that is NOT possible and the 1.5 does not allow me to do it manually, if I do everything is a mess.

 

Another thing is that most of the specialities in multistore configuration is not explained in the manual.

 

Bottom line: So far I dont like what I see when looking at 1.5
