CSV Product import Timing out

Hello

I keep getting a problem when trying to import a large number of products via the import feature where it just times out after uploading a few hundred products - i have about 3000 that i want to import.

Is there any way someone can provide the database tables and column names for each product type so i can write a quick application so that it can read in a CSV file and update into the database.

I will be happy to share and support the app with others who are having problems with the import feature.

hi,
direct upload into the database is not the way out for presta shop. WHile uploading images into the catalog presta engine updates images and makes 3 kinds with different dimenstions. Anywya you need to upload them via CSV file. If you have time out you'd better contact hosting provider to increse it. Have a good luck with you CSV and make sure that all fields are alright.
