How to modify product customization text field

Hi! i would like to edit my template to enable a appear/disappear function for the customization text field. For example, I have one product that can be personalized with a needlework. I would like to have the text field to appear only if the oprion yes is choosen, otherwise it should not be visible. How can i link that action to the dropdown menu selection for yes or no?
