How do you set up an audio preview on the Product list page?

Recommended Posts

I have created downloadable items in the admin tool. One of the Short description boxes says it appears in the product lists and on the top of the product page. However, when I chose the Insert/Edit Embedded Material, the media player does not show up in the product lists. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue? Here is an example:

All four of those items have embedded preview players on the actual product page, but none of them show up in the product list page. How can I fix this? Thank you.

I've attached screen shots of the admin tool, and the product list page.

Hello Punkatess

I was able to listen to the 1st product. Just want to make sure it's only a recording and not with a video? If it's only sound then it showed up for me using chrome. Have you tried different web browsers in your findings? Ok the 1st & 2nd products are working but 3rd and 4th are not.

Cheers

Yes, it's just audio. It shows up on the actual product page itself. I've tested that in every browser on both mac and pc, and phones. But I can't get it to show up on the preview in the product list. Do you see it there? I attached a screenshot to show which page it's not displaying on. Thanks!

Yeah, there were eight different type of embed options in the admin page, so each page has a different type. Some work in some browsers, some don't. It's not the actual product page I'm trying to fix. it's seeing the preview before you go to the actual product page. If you look at this one:

You'll see it says .iframe preview right below the product name, but the preview player doesn't show up there. That's where I'm trying to add the player. Hope that helps to explain it further. Thanks!
