Different product images per language

Question.

 

Is is possible to have different product images per language?

 

Simple question, but i don't know if there is a solution to it?

No it is not possible at this time.

We are working on a 'hack' then module incorporation to support this. Will post when (if) we are successful.

 

I am no longer working on this.  There is a module out there but it does not do covers.

with default prestashop engine tools it isn't possible. Exactly as elpatron said it is possible only with some kind of "hacks".

 

you can achieve it by editing the product.tpl file

you can define there if conditions to check the:

1. product id
   
2. browsed language version of the store
   

 

then regarding to the values of these parameters - script will show images.

 

but this method will be really hard to code, especially when you will want to display pictures for many products...

effect of this: a hundreds of if conditons...

 

so it's better to wait for El Patron's module

Hi, I wish!...the iamge handling is very difficult to understand and even harder to create any sort of module to overcome this limitation.

 

Some one did write a module,

but it does not support cover image, this is the problem I also could not figure out how to  fix.  I am starting to use images without 'words'...
