gbhutto
I uploaded 1.5.0.17. I ran the install in IE 9 everything checked out except at the final step at 0% x Create settings .inc file “An error occurred during installation...” I am running PHP version 5.2.17 with FastCGI on a dedicated windows server at Hostgator. I tried deleting the files and downloading again but got the same results. I tried it using Firefox and Chrome. Same results. How can I complete the installation? lucamax
Obvious suggestion is to check permissions on Prestashop directory but the install program should do it for you , anyway check it. . How did you upload the 1.5.0.17 ?
gbhutto
Thanks for the reply. Yes. The permissions was a problem in getting the installation started. Now that is fixed. But now I am stuck at 43% with an error at Populate Database Tables! I uploaded 1.5.0.17 using Filezilla. Any idea as to how to get beyond that point? lucamax
I'm not an expert , but since the 1.5 database has 250 tables perhaps if you have a memory limit with a low value on your server it may create a problem. It is just a suggestion but check with your provider. Edited October 1, 2012 by lucamax (see edit history)
gbhutto
The install created 219 tables. Are you saying I am 31 tables short?. Here are the server stats. The subscription for this domain has no limitations. Is this enough memory for Prestashop? lucamax
I do not use stock management and my database has 231 tables. The memory limit is in the Php settings of the server.
gbhutto
I adjusted the memory limit in the PHP settings to 1024M as recommended in another post. Now I am getting hung up at 38%. Still with only 219 tables. Any other ideas?

benjamin utterback
Hello, does hostgator have a simple script install for PrestaShop 1.5?
gbhutto
Hostgator only offers PrestaShop 1.4.9.0 (Release 28) that you can install through the server interface.
gbhutto
After downloading 1.5.0.17 and uploading it to my server for the third time the install completed. The only explanation I can think of is that some files were missing in the previous attempts. Anyway success at last!
Totti
Me too same problem now I try to do the upload. You have solved that?

lucamax
I read that Filezilla sometimes mess things when too much files are uploadded on some server in a short time.
gbhutto
Well, it finally resolved. It took three downloads and uploads using Fielzilla. Not sure where the problem happened. Could be a missing file in first two downloads. Could be Filezilla. I'd suggest anyone experiencing these problems to keep downloading and uploading until everything clicks. benjamin utterback
Hello gbhutto, yes that is strange. Maybe it is that filezilla does not upload all the files at one time sometimes. For now, I will mark this as solved. Thank you for choosing PrestaShop.
