mixmix Posted September 29, 2012 Share Posted September 29, 2012 I need help, im from Portugal and i use local post to ship the orders of my site. i want insert tracking number in my backoffice, when i enter in one order not have the option to insert tracking number. Guest Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 It is part of the carrier When setting up the carrier (or editing) there is a place to enter the URL of the trcking site You have to put the URL in there then when you get a sale that uses that carrier, when you mark it as shipped you get a new little text box where you enter the tracking number Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

overcominglove Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Hello, when i had PS 1.4 tracking number worked perfect but it was changed in 1.5 . when i do this www.carrier.com=@ its actually sends the carrier domain link with the tracking number attached to to end so when i click the link it gets error meaning the tracking number is part of the link and lead nowhere . my question. Is there a way of separating the carrier link from the number so that customers can just see the link and tracking separating so they can copy the tracking open the link and paste to search? any clue ? or a way to embed smarty for tracking number in the in_transit template? please help Edited October 2, 2012 by overcominglove (see edit history) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
viger Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 Hello, I have problems with tracking number, too. I have 1.5.0.17 installed, but I have try 1.5.1.0 and it's the same. The carrier is correctly configured, everything ok, but in the order page the box "Shipping informations" doesn't appear. I tried many times, deleting and creating again carrier, installing ex-novo in my local server, etc. but nothing. The box seems to not exist. I tried in 1.4.9 as haylau says and at the first try all worked perfectly, box ok, email sent with tracking url perfectly working... What is wrong? I'm spending hours to this point... viger Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 Hello again, after many and many hours reading forums, google, etc, etc, I have found the problem: an idiot has translate in Italian "Tracking Number" with "Reso merce" (something like "rendered goods"). For just an intuition I have change BO language in English and... et voilà, the tracking input field was there where it had always been.
