Logging into backend after fresh install

Recommended Posts

I have been trying for 48 hours and I am at a lost. I've using prestashop for over 2 years and I love the software. I recently upgrade from 1.4 to 1.5 and now I cannot log into my NEWADMIN but can still login and under OLDADMIN which styles is totally out of whack. I am a designer and my tech experience has all been trial and error. I do get sales and have customers so yes I am pulling my hair out.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it an htaccess thing, settings.inc.php thing, maybe a godaddy thing or maybe a upgrade thing as presta irons out this one button upgrade thing.

I have tried many thing over the last to days but most efforts has been stabs in the dark.

PLEASE if anybody has any suggests small or Big please let me know as i am running on fumes and am at a complete lost.

I can get to my home page

So I almost gave up and got a day job but i have decided to to forge on. I understand the hesistation in responding cause I could of done so many things wrong. But I got my hands on the developers guide and.....

I'm gonna figure it out.

Finally got a working version of 1.5 to cooperate on 1and1 servers but godaddy keeps requiring a php5.ini file. Now I'm trying to transfer the functional store from 1and1 servers over to godaddy's servers.

but I am having problems finding/editing the root directory because the site is on the second level (in a folder) and in 1.4 it was in the settings.inc.php and now it not. Is that something I can just add maybe I'll try that.

the continue checkout is not working on the mobile version of 1.5 but I would imagine that will be an easy fix.

anybody who reads this wish me luck or suggest something.

so adding that directory to the settings in the settings.inc.php worked!. Now I'm getting a a bad cookie message.

The website encountered an error while retrievinghttps://www.eleganthawaiianjewelry.com/eleganthawaiianjewelry/myadmin/index.php?controller=AdminHome&token=049c8e97e241708d37e011b8a7a4ad0c. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Any input would be appreciated.

Hello Dutch, it seems like it is still not fully connected to your Database. Maybe this article will help you. You can turn on error reporting as well, that will give us a better idea of whats going on. Navigate to the PrestaShop 1.5 root folder. From there, navigate the path /config/config.inc.php. Open up the config.inc.php file in the text editor. Find the line of code that reads "@ini_set('display_errors', 'off')" This is line 29 by default in PrestaShop 1.5. Change it to read "@ini_set('display_errors', 'on')"
