Twinkles
I have been using the same server with all the right settings in Preferences as below and the caching as below - my host set it up for me - but when I load up my front page it is really slow - 16 seconds according to Firebug. I am using 1.462 version. The back office is fast enough, my host is looking at another problem with g+1 stopped working and things it maybe a speed issue, Facebook has stopped posting images too - again my host thinks it maybe a speed issue. Any experts able to analyze the site and tell me whats wrong? Link here Edited September 29, 2012 by Twinkles (see edit history)
Kay van Aarssen
check with your hosting... Maybe you're on a server thats running out of resources...
Twinkles
The server is fine - it's a VPS not shared hosting. It's an element or something taking ages to load - a redirection or something. Anyone?!
Kay van Aarssen
Try this. Disable all your self installed modules, then check the load speed if thats fine then but them on one by one and check the speed. Then you know witch module is causing the problem. And set your CCC back to original

Twinkles
Thanks - I have gone through the modules and I cant seem to locate it. It seems to take 16 seconds just to go to the redirect to /en. I don't really understand what is happening.
Twinkles
My host seem to find a solution - the RSS feed had lots of links from other sites which no longer worked. As soon as I killed them it worked. Much faster now. Thanks for the help - will mark as solved.

petrhill
Twinkles, I have probably the same problem. Could you please give me an advice how did you exactly solved this issue? Thanks.
Twinkles
The issue was I had the RSS Feed block enabled but the feed was coming from a site that was offline, so the store was waiting for that to time out before loading the rest of the page. MY server people found it - go to say they are pretty good like that - otherwise I would have got stuck for ages Do you have link to check? Twinkles
It has something to do with this - it cant find it when the server loads up. Sorry im no expert but can see that's an error. http://www.rideshop.cz/cs/stranka-nenalezena-404 and it struggling to load http://www.rideshop.cz/themes/arundo/fonts/frankm/frankm.woff Have you tried with the default theme to see if that is OK?
