Jack
Can someone here educate me what is Drupal? What exactly Drupal do? I know Drupal can write blog...I checked out their website, and I still don't understand what is a CMS. And what they exactly do. I saw few posts mentioning about integrating Drupal and Prestashop together. And I really don't understand the purpose behind it. Without Drupal, Prestashop can function very well. What are the benefits for integrating them together? If we need a blog, can we just set up a link in our site that link to a wordpress? This is for real, I am not joking, I really don't understand how Drupal can do to improve my shop..... Thanks.I feel bad for not knowing this.... tomerg3
CMS stands for Content Management System. It basically means an interface of some sort to be able to manage (add / edit / delete) your website / blog.Prestashop has a limited CMS system for products / categories and such.It does not have a way to edit the content of actual pages, or add / delete pages. With that said, I have never tried using Drupal, or integrate it with Prestashop. keyone
Drupal is a great CMS, very powerful. Steep learning curve because of that power. But once you get it figured out, it's awesome. However... I just set up two websites with the Drupal module for e-commerce: called Ubercart. Ubercart is just way too cumbersome and confusing to get working correctly. I just got a demo Prestashop set up in about 1/10th the time it took me to get Ubercart going. I would love a way to combine Drupal with Ubercart. If I get this new client that I'm demo-ing Presta cart for, I might do that myself!
