Google Cache Problem

Hi, I actually have 2 problems related to my website www.n2jc.com.

 

1). PROBLEM #1. My meta tags are not showing in the search engines. Instead, it's showing content from the shopping cart.

 

2). The google cached version is different then what is being displayed in the search engines.

1. Your meta tags are not indexed. May be you've added them later. When google index them they will be added to the search results.

2. Every search engine has it's own indexing, so the results in different search engines are different.

 

Just wait for some time and your pages will be reindexed and the meta description will appear instead of the page content.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I've been waited a few months for it to be reindexed. Could there be another cause?

I checked the source code of the indexed page and I saw no description meta tags there. Just remember when you added those description tags and check with the date of the cached page. In the cached version of the product page I checked there were 2 meta/keyword tags, but no meta/description.

 

Do you remember when you added the meta/description?

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm not really experienced with this sort of thing. But, I was sure I added them a few months ago. A while back, google was showing them with meta tags but then I notice a few months ago that there weren't any meta tags. I tried re-adding them but it still seems to be having problem. Btw, where exactly should I place the meta tag. I've placed them on the index.php section.

The tag itself is in your theme folder in header.tpl It's set for the specific pages at the BackOffice.
