[Doubt] Multiple Stores with different themes, One Basket - Is it Possible?

Hi

 

Has i've mention in my last post, i am quite new to this. I have figured out many things and i have my first store almost ready but some problems and some doubts persist.

 

One of the doubts is, like the topic title says, if it is possible to have multiple stores with different themes, different categories and different products but being actually the same Store / DB for all of them.

 

 

I will try to explain with an example (Completely made up):

 

The company is called XPTO and it has 3 stores

 

- Store A sells cars and the URL www.cars.com redirects to cars.xpto.com and it has a Black Theme and only has cars

 

- Store B sells Fruit and the URL www.fruit.com redirects to fruit.xpto.com and it has a green Theme and only sells fruit

 

- Store C sells Cups and the URL www.cups.com redirects to cups.xpto.com and it has a Blue Theme and only sells Cups

 

 

However, if a client wants, he can move arround between stores and ad to basket 1 car, 1 pound of apples and 2 pounts of grapes and a set of 12 cups, summed together all in one order.

 

 

Of course that the basis of the idea is not that the client purchases things from diferent stores all together, but to have only one account to all.

 

This way he can have points of the affiliate program and use it in anyone of the stores, or manage orders from all stores all in one place.

 

 

I hope i've made myselff clear what is my question, if any doubt remains please let me know so i can explain it better
