arvindg
So, I've got about a 3 week old install of Prestashop (1.4.8.3) that was working great until today. At the moment it won't show products anywhere. Not on the home page, not in categories, not in search results. It looks okay otherwise, except for a blank white space in the main area where products would show up. I am not sure what I did to break it but I was trying to implement a new shipping method today. This is what I did (the back office seems to be 100% fine) 1. Added new carrier 2. Added new zone 3. Added price ranges 4. Back on the shipping tab, I set some prices for different ranges. Went to check the site and ran into the problem where it is not displaying any products. You can see it yourself here http://happyearth.in/store/ I went back and deleted the new carrier and zone. No effect. I really appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction to get this sorted. Thanks!
benjamin utterback
Dear arvindg, hello and welcome to the PretsaShop Forums. We are happy to have you here. If you could, please turn on the error reporting in >config>config.inc.php line #29 and reload. Tell me if you any errors are displayed.
arvindg
Dear Benjamin, Thanks for the reply. I have turned this on and still don't see any errors. I've just updated the file and tried reloading the webpage at http://happyearth.in/store/ Is there anything else involved in a 'reload'? Thanks in advance. This is the line now @ini_set('display_errors', 'on'); Dear arvindg, please turn on the error reporting in >config>config.inc.php line #29 and reload. Tell me if you any errors are displayed. arvindg
Benjamin, two screenshots attached. One is from a browser where I am logged in, it picks up the cookie. The other is from a browser where there is no cookie, however I can't even bring the login screen to load from this at the moment. benjamin utterback
Hello arvindg, thank you for the screenshot. It is strange that no errors are displaying after you have enabled it. My suggestion to you would be to check your Apache server error logs. You can usually view this through the CPanel however I would certainly contact your hosting provider as well for specific information.

arvindg
I'm checking the source for the page and I don't see any div elements for the main body (description, etc). Does that mean anything?
arvindg
Okay, just got it to work - hurray! What I did was - In the Preferences -> Performance page, I turned off the cache and turned "Force compile" to on. This seemed to do the trick. I've switched it back to what it was, now that the site is working again. Thanks much for your help, Benjamin. I do love Prestashop so far! benjamin utterback
Hello arvindg, I am happy that you solved the problem. I really should have mentioned that earlier. Sorry! I will go ahead and mark this thread as SOLVED. Thank you so much for choosing PrestaShop. One last thing, is Force Compile set to Off now? is Cache set to On?
