I've upgraded prestashop 1.4.8.3 to 1.5 I applied backups before my upgrade, however the restores did not work. Currently my hop is now on version 1.5, however I have no front shop. I have the admin section of my shop, however the modules section I get the following error: Server error The website encountered an error while retrieving http://bushstraps.co...8b9f2a5bce0565a. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly. Here are some suggestions: Reload this webpage later. My shop is still unavailable and on the modules section it loads the top of the page and it shows the "Back Office > Modules" blue section and where my list of modules supposed to be, there is nothing. nstrydom Posted September 25, 2012 Author Share Posted September 25, 2012 I'm unable to disable these modules, however deleted them from the modules directory. My front-shop is now enabled, however I still cannot access the Modules section in my Admin page. I just doesn't load the list of modules. Thank you for your help. How do I re-enable these modules now, as I now have no payment module. Do I just download and upload these modules again? As soon as I clear my cache in the smarty/compile directory, my whole front shop does not work. And I get the following error: [28-Sep-2012 13:24:41] PHP Fatal error: Access to undeclared static property: Smarty::$_CHARSET in /home/bushsmqz/public_html/shop/tools/smarty/plugins/modifiercompiler.escape.php on line 30 I assume that this is some issue with smarty. How do i fix this? When I replace the cached files, my site comes back up. I'm afraid that when the cache expires my shop will go down without me even knowing. Matt Serralta Posted September 28, 2012 Share Posted September 28, 2012 Hi Nstrydom, May I suggest that you make sure that your root/cache directory is set to 755 recursive to sub directory and files? Please also empty the compile and cache directory ( except index.php). I also suggest to switch the cache off, and browse the website a bit, and then turn it back on. It seems that as soon as I clean any cache or even replace the whole smarty, my front shop stops working. Every time I restore my cache files my site works again. So not too sure what to make of this. I have a clean version of prestashop v 1.5 running alongside my current shop. nstrydom Posted October 4, 2012 Author Share Posted October 4, 2012 Hi Benjamin I export the products and categories (from the database), then import into the 1.5 database. Then after the import, my products page is empty and on the categories section there are no categories defined, nor when I add a new category does it show up on the list. keitaro Posted June 22, 2014 Share Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) hi i am having these fatal error problems too mine is with html pure tool? i disabled all ccc and cache off cdn off etc same issue i restored back and the problem persisted. i think the upgrade corrupted many files. if i turn off overrides it seems to partially work but it shows menus in the wrong place and all kinds of crazy stuff. Could some one please tell me if i delete all files and leave data base then fresh install linking to old data base will i loose my products data and orders / customers? I will back up my images directory and restore them manually. will this work ? right now i have my site semi working. if i change anything as simple as a word on anything the site will go fatal. also search does not work at all roll back or not.
