Can't install auto upgrade module

I tried to install the autoupgrade module following this step-by-step guide:

After clicking 'install' I'm getting this error message:

The following module(s) were not installed successfully:

• autoupgrade
  

Then I deleted the autoupgrade module files and uploaded them manually and gave them 777. Keep getting the same error message.

 

Prestashop is 1.4.8.3, 1-click Upgrade is v0.8.0.

 

Any suggestions how I can get the module installed?
