nate_02631
The shipping by weight in Prestashop appears to be broken... In my shop, regardless of what the weight is, it always charges the highest amount in the weight table, despite the zone being active and despite being set to disable the carrier if the product is out of range...I've seen one post that says some files from the SVN could be applied, but another that says DB changes are required. Does anyone have a viable solution that will serve as fix for the 1.1 or could better describe the bug... Does it think the zone is out of range and thus charges the highest amount? Thanks for any feedback...
cerberus22
Hello nate_02631,I dont know if it is the same problem as you are having but look here maybe it may help.http://www.prestashop.com/bug_tracker/view/1211/
nate_02631
Thanks cerebus,I had actually seen that, but it didn't seem to be the same issue (I haven't tried the fix yet)... We have the shipping ranges set something like 0-10 lb, 10.1-20 lb, etc... on up to 100-odd pounds, each with a different dollar value. But no matter what weight item is placed in the cart, it always applies the highest shipping charge for that zone... Again, despite setting the carrier to "disable" if no valid zone/range was available (even though that doesn't appear to be the case)...Will play with that solution, though.. It's semi-moot as I planned on using the UPS module but was having trouble with that too (!) and was a bit distraught that even the built in solution didn't seem to work out of the box... Can't imagine what the issue could be - anyone else having this issue on a default install?
cerberus22
hello again,I know it will be a pain but i suggest you delete all your shipping ranges and carrers and start afresh, keep it simple to begin with and see how you get onMaybe uninstall the UPS module first, just in case it is interfering.Maybe also try first set to kg insted of lb (in back office) just to see if it makes a differenceI enclose a pic of my shipping, does yours look like this ? cerberus22
Another linkhttp://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/16844/general_discussion/multiple_carriers__shipping_options__problemafter having a quick read of that post maybe you will be better off just setting up one carrier to cover all ranges and giving it a "neutral" name (like I have done, see pic)
