Valentinas500
Dear fellows, I was installing PrestaShop and everything went smooth, had everything configure but in step for when I have to name the store etc it just doesn't do anything when I press "next". I am confused, not sure what's wrong. Would be very glad and thankful to anyone who helps. Thank you in advance
benjamin utterback
Hello Valentinas500, welcome to the PrestaShop forums. Please provide the version of PrestaShop you are installing, did the DataBase configuration page complete?
Valentinas500
I tried prestashop_1.4.8.2 and the database and everything connected well... But in step 4, when I press next it just thinks for a half a second and nothing... When I refreshed, it loaded the website, but I couldn't get into the back office because my user was not created during the instalation.
benjamin utterback
Hello, thank you for the message. I would suggest that you try to install it on a different browser. If that does not work, then you can try 1.4.9 or a different version if you don't mind. This might solve that issue. I hope this helps. Thank you for choosing PrestaShop

benjamin utterback
You're Welcome! I hope that it helps. That is a strange error and could be browser related, alternatively, it could be a problem with the download. When did you download your version 1.4.8.2? Valentinas500
I hope so. Now I am uploading the 1.5.0.17 and will try to install it using different browsers. The other one I downloaded couple days ago from download.cnet.com as I did not know what a PrestaShop is.

Valentinas500
I have just tried to install 1.5 PrestaShop using Internet Explorer and this time it showed the installation process but it got an error while it was at "populate database tables" - "an error occured during installation..." As I guess, there is something wrong with my database...
benjamin utterback
Hello Valentinas, have you tried to clear your database and start a new database? Who is your hosting provider?
Valentinas500
After that, I realized that my hosting provider offers "Instalatron" app that has Presta Shop included. All the problems solved, thank you for help, Benjamin. By the way, my provider is I guess hostingas.in ... Not sure of their official business name
