tomerg3
How long after you start the backup do you see the error? Trying checking the main error log on your server (from cPanel)

tomerg3
It could be an out of memory error. try checking the main server log (usually available from your cpanel). How much memory do you have?
benjamin utterback
Hello, and to add to Tomer's great suggestion. You can sometimes talk to your hosting provider and have them increase your memory or memory limit.
MD5
sorry for my late reply i went on my cpanel, tools, log but there is nothing concerning memory is it the right place to check ?
tomerg3
Yes, that's the error log, look for something around the same time of the backup. Ask your host how much memory you have, or create a phpinfo file and check yourself. You can read more about it on our blog at http://presto-changeo.tumblr.com/post/17589539698/understanding-php-ini-how-and-why-you-need-one
MD5
is it possible to put something in .htaccess to get more memory_limit ?
benjamin utterback
Hello MD5, I do think its possible. However, I think the easiest way is to edit you php.ini file and increase your memory limit. You can read about some solutions here, http://www.prestasho...-configuration/
tomerg3
It depends on your host and account type. Most likely no, unless you have a VPS or dedicated, and it would not be in .htaccess, but in php.ini

tomerg3
You will have to check the error log to get the real reason.
benjamin utterback
Hello, MD5, you can check your CPanel for your server error log, if you are unsure where it is or if it is provided in your Cpanel, you can call your Hosting Company. benjamin utterback
Hello, yes you can check your server error log by contacting your Hosting Provider. You can turn on the errors in your config/config.inc.php line 29 and change the display errors to "on" from off.
