Module WordPress Sync

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm currently evaluating PrestaShop for a new client that wants two small shops and one blog site, all on different domains but with shared users across all 3 sites. I've been reading up about ,multi store options in 1.5 and how different domains for each shop are possible - so far so good, which leaves the blog...

Being that blog is required on different domain I would like to use Wodpress and sync Wordpress and Presta shop so users are synced between both. Is this what WordPress Sync module does? I've read details but can't see for definate if users are synchronized.

Ideall what I want is any user created in Wordpress is automatically created in PrestaShop as customer, and the same the other way around, with cookie settings that don't log a user out when moving from one site to the other. If this IS possible with this add-on, does the fact that they will be on different domains complicate things? i.e. can cookie be shared acrosss domains.

If the above is not possible I'm wondering whether I can create my blod site using just the blog functionality provided by some of the blog add-ons I can see. Looks to me as if they are intended to add blog style functionality to an existing shop rather than being the sole focus of a shop, but if anyone has any experience or examples of doing this I would be grateful to see them.

Many thanks

Thanks DesignHaus, I'm fairly competent, it's just as with most projects a case of how much time it will take vs necessity, and as no mods exist to do this already I'm currently trying to remove the necessity from my requirements ;)

I'm thinking in all honesty all I really need to to be able to allow customers via the shops to be able to comment on the blog. I've noticed some existing addons offer this I'm wondering how this is done if there is no user sync, presumably via a cookie?

This module never worked for me. I contacted the Prestateam several times and finaly had an answer "we will install it for you". I send them everything they needed and never had any new for more than a month.

The module I bought which were not certified always worked. The only certified one I bought never worked. Sweet surprise.
