robmeerwijk
Our webshop is based on the prestashop theme coton bought two months ago. Including the update option because prestashop 1.5 was upcoming. Today they told me, no updates planned. I asked for a refund for the update option 30 euro's, since there will be no updates, not now and not later. They don't do refunds. Shame on the coton developers! I feel conned. Dh42
Where did you buy the theme from? Was it from the add-ons store or from a 3rd party? They can be shamed into a refund.
robmeerwijk
From the add-on store. It is developed by Prestashop Partners and the theme is certified by Prestashop. And yes, a refund would be nice, but I would prefer an update. So I hope they will be shamed into an update :-)
sligo-oy
That is too bad especially considering they are Prestashop partners and a Prestashop certified template as well. That should count for some kind of support on future releases as well. I hope you get your matter resolved.
shoulders
i will bump this topic. When you buy on the addons site you expect a bit of protection, otherwise whats the point. You can go to the developers website and get it cheaper. I would ask prestashop to force a refund, at the very least the money for the upgrade options should be returned as they did not fullfill the contract. rseigel
Or another easy way...... Just tell them your "bank does refunds" and do a chargeback for the FULL amount. It's almost impossible for a seller of digital goods to defend themselves in a chargeback.
Dh42
I read that the addon store has a new person in charge now. I would try to contact him. Also post in that section of the forum you might get more help. As for the charge back, that is a way to destroy a relationship, I would hold off on that. Especially since you bought it two months ago, you are out of the window that anyone other than amex corp would do a charge back.
robmeerwijk
I have been offered a refund for 30 Euros now and someone called Benjamin promised to look into it. Thanks for the help so far!
