Modules Tab will disappear after uploading Paypal Module

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, I am junior ecommerce website developer and I really need your help.

My prestashop version is Prestashop Version: 1.4.8.3.All is fine except the paypal module that causes trouble. It started when I install and configure it, I put all the API details and it was configured successfully however after, installation I noticed that when I view every product the detail pages are blank and even the right side and footer of website disappears.

I didn't do anything that day except the paypal module so, I really suspect that paypal module has a bug.The paypal module i've got is the latest one - version 3.1.0.

So, I tried to disable paypal module and it works every product page works again but the module tab is missing. The next thing I did is make a backup on the paypal module and delete it in my cpanel and the module tab was restored.

The final problem is when I tried to re-upload again the paypal module it says successfully installed but then, again my module tab will go invisible. How could I fix this? Please help.

Sorry fo my bad english. Many thanks in advance.

I think the Paypal module you are using there is a problem that caused an error. So that the modules Tab becomes empty.

1. Try to turn on error displaying by set "display_errors" to "on" in file /config/config.inc.php

2. Try to delete the module [physically from modules folder, and try to use another version of the Pyapla module to see if it works.

/modules/paypal/

3. You can also try to use paid module here if you do not want to spend time to troubleshooting.

it has more great feature like express checkout.

Hello guys the problem was already fix. I deleted the paypal folder in my cpanel and upload the original paypal module for presta version 1.4.8.3. Yah that latest paypal module which is free has a bug, it says compatible with PrestaShop v1.4 - v1.5 but its not.

Thanks a lot guys.

I am glad that you resolved your problem by removing the module physically.

And thanks for your feedback and sharing the information.
