Prestashop as a CMS

Hello!

This is my first time using prestashop. For this project, customer will propose collections of items for sale. Each collection needs to be linked to an Artist and to a Producer. Each Artist / Producer needs to have its own biography.

 

I figured i could use Products for the customer's Items, Product categories as "Collections". But what about the Artist and the Producer? In Wordpress world, there is always the possibility to create "custom post types". Is there any such thing in Prestashop?

You create a custom post by adding a CMS 'page in wp'

 

back office-->tools-->cms

 

like wp, you will need a menu or plugin that supports linking a menu to a cms page.
