maconl
Hello All I have already several prestashops installed (especially PS 1.4.6.2) but today I ran into a strange problem. The install went as always without problems, but importing the nl.gzip I got the error message "Archive can not be extracted" I know it has to do with the permissions but .. with PS 1.4.6.2 you should have the permissions set properly before you can continue with the install but to be sure I checked everything several times and sofar i can see is everything ok chmod 777 (marked in bold) : files and folders /config /tools/smarty/compile /tools/smarty/cache /tools/smarty_v2/compile /tools/smarty_v2/cache /sitemap.xml /log /upload /download chmod 777 folders and subfolders/ /img - Subfolders /mails - Subfolders /modules - Subfolders /themes/prestashop/lang /themes/prestashop/cache /translations the only issue what this hosting got : PHP magic quotes option is off (recommended) on this hosting is turned on and Allowed to open external URLs on this Hosting disabled but can not imagine that this is the problem so i run out of any ideas what this could be , all i can imagine is the server,,, any ideas or direction to solve this one is appreciated btw : it is not a big issue for me , cause i can fix this to upload all nl files manual but it would be great to solve this problem EDIT : found out it was the server , also the website with an cms didn't work very well after an switch to an other server everything went well dunno what was wrong with the server but seems the software on it or any corrupt files after reinstalling the server everything went also well on this server, Edited September 20, 2012 by maconl (see edit history)
