Nafs Ruh
I just did a fresh install on my webhostingaccount and all went well. I set the permissions right for the cache folder (777) and modules folder (755, recursive). When I want to load the modules in the back office I get an internal server error. The weird thing is when I set the permission to 644 or 666, the modules page does load, but without any modules. All is zero and I can't see any modules. I also set the owner on my server to the admin of the server and the rest of the config looks good. So strange and this might be a permission problem, I guess or not? Are there any ideas how to solve this?
netmechanics
Hmm - I am getting something similar - just updated and everything seems as what I would expect except going to the modules page in th ebackend gives me a "white page of death" I am wondering if it is something to do with a php memory limit? Shaun_M
Looks to be something to do with Paypal module. I uninstalled it + dibs module and got further with my overcoming the error. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/175535-paypal-and-google-checkout-within-15-rc1/ also seems to explain the problems

I only deleted the dips module. In the past I had also some internal server errors on my different webservers. Back then it was due to the PHP memory limit. I think Prestashop at least needs 128MB. What are you thougths?
Shaun_M
Nafs : Glad it helped. I'm no expert but php memory limit should be fine for 128MB. Minimum requirements are 64MB as per the system requirements so as long as that's being met then in theory you should be fine. Can always debug the php.ini for overcoming errors at the end of the day anyway!
gmd
Hey guys!, First of all, GREAT that u guys have found out the solution!, I only wonder, if i can't acces the modules page, how should i uninstall the dibs module?
NemoPS
You can try troubleshooting the error 500 as described here: http://nemops.com/debug-prestashop-error-500/
Shaun_M
GMD : Good question and is difficult, agreed. Only way I got round it was to revert to an old backup, uninstall, then upgrade again. I'm not sure why 1.5.x was released before it seems other modules were ready. Sounds a bit "Vista" like. Is the patch/next release to resolve this issue going to be "Presta-7"? -sniggers- Just kidding developers if your reading this. Love the work and hope you can patch this apparent widespread nuisance!!
