Cannot Add Images to Product or Home Text Editor

Help. I upgraded to 1.4.8.2. And I have changed permissions on some of my files.

I use Firefox 15.01, Chrome 21.0, and have tried Safari and Opera. The browser does not seem to make a difference.

I cannot add images to my products. I had been able to in the past with no problem. I get the following: 2 errors

1. An error occurred while copying image.
   
2. This field quantity is required
   

Also I am unable to add images in Home Text Editor. The side menu reads:

Folder: cms Created: 06/Sep/2012 11:08:46 Modified: 18/Aug/2012 13:00:33 Subfolders: 0 Files: 8 Writable? X Readable? Y

 

I have not been able to find the answer in the forum or web.

And I have changed permissions on some of my files.

 

Most likely this is your problem. You need to check the img folder to make sure it has proper permissions set so PS can write your images there.

Thanks for the advice. I tried that but it not change things. i still have the same problems. Would changing the config file permissions help? Its set to 750.

 

 

Solved. I'm not sure what permissions I changed but it worked. I did the img and p. I'm now happy.
