Newest
First of all, I just want to say thank you for all of you Prestashop team do for us. This is a FREE script and you have done so much for improving it. We owe you a big thank you. Making a script that has so many features, and satisfies ALL of the users are not easy, not at all. You have done a very wonderful job. I know this is a new script, we are all learning. We are learning how to use this script and use it well, and you, the Prestashop team, are learning how, what, where and who ---different business in different countries are using this script for, and satisfy all of your users. I want to say more that this is not an easy job. Thank you very much for doing this for us.I feel bad that every time I see people who posted negative comments about the script and the Prestashop team. Why should people do that? What for? What kind of outcome are they looking for from doing this? Don’t we learn it since Kindergarten that when people give us something good, we should say Thank You? Didn’t our parents taught us since little that if we don’t like what we receive from the others, we shouldn’t say anything and return a smile? This is a free script, if you don’t like it, you are more than welcome to go somewhere else… instead of making negative comments. Prestashop is new, and it is just like a 2 years old kid learning to run. And he is doing a good job. Shouldn’t we, the people who around this kid give encouragement instead of saying” You are a good looking kid, I like you face, but what is wrong with you? How come you still can not run yet? Your next door neighbor Megento, who is 8 years old already preparing to run a Marathon. Why can you do the same thing? Are you listening? Or are you asleep? I know even if you sit there, you are sleeping. How come you don’t answer me? I am yelling at you, do you know? And you don’t answer? You looks good doesn’t mean anything. You can not run a Marathon, and not even a 10k… Do you know all of the older kids—Zen Cart, Oscommerce, and Megento are running better than you? “ Boy…how in the world this little kid can grow up and be Usain Bolt? Can those people stop making all of those stupid comments? We need to work together and make this script better. If you like Megento, zen cart, or whatever, then please leave here and let us keep our unity. This is a FREE script and you are FREE to leave. If you are not able to make contribution, offer free help, or module or something, then at least post POSITIVE comments. Since this is a free script, is it too much to ask you to just post positive comments? I don’t think so….. Thanks.

Ion_Cannon
There is not one product on earth that someone somewhere doesn't complain about even free stuff. It goes with the territory and sometimes complaining gets things done and sometimes it just makes things worse. The key is to be objective, give credit where credit is due and point out flaws when you see them. That's how things get better with a product like this. To say no one should complain is not realistic and not really THAT helpful. People should complain when there are problems. The Prestashop team will learn what people want when people are complaining. Yeah, no need to bash but constructive criticism can be good in figuring out problems and bringing things to light. That's generally what a product forum is for, otherwise what good would it be? No one wants to sit around telling everyone everythings great. It just doesn't work that way. Newest
I think there is no problem that members complain about things that are not being done. This is one of the ways to nudge the team for what we want. But there are people who would make stupid comments or worst than that to just attack the team without any reason. Does the team owe us something? I would very much like to assume that we at least finished Kindergarten and we are business owners of some sort here. If someone comes to our shop and tells us that “your shop looks good. I like the look. But your products suck. Your next door neighbor Megento which has opened the shop 8 years ago is doing much better than you. They have products A, B, and C. And you don’t have any. What is wrong with you? Do you know how to do business? There are a lot of tourists from all over the world to here to shop. You suppose to stock ALL of the things that we like and want, and most of all, you have to sell it FREE of charge. You are only 2 years old? That is no excuse. You should not just open the shop and wait for people to tell you what they really need. You suppose to HAVE everything, what people want and like for EVERY COUNTRY before you open this shop. Why don’t you answer? Are you asleep?” Boy, I am sure if someone talks to you like that, you will show the person where the door is. Do unto others as we want others do unto us. If we like others give us friendly comments and appreciation, shouldn’t the Prestashop team deserve one too? We, as a shop owner, we have a freedom to set up the shop any way we want, so does the Prestashop, they can also program the scrip the way they want to. Why do we have a forum for? It is to help each other. There are a lot of members here are helping others by answering questions, making modules, and giving positive comments. That is what we want and should be doing. The Prestashop team does not need to answer every comment we have here. Is it too much to ask not to destroy the unity by not attacking the team here? I really don’t think so…. Please don’t just ask what the Prestashop team can do for us, ask what you can do for improving the Prestashop script first. If you can not offer help, make module or don’t want to post positive comments, then at least you can say “THANK YOU”. I like to think that I belong to a community that is full of helping hands, instead of packed of a lot of jerks. I like to have one click purchase, reminder service module and per item shipping module working and I want them now. But there is no point to attack the team again, again and again. Will we have the one click purchase feature tomorrow by attacking the team? If not, why and what is the reason attacking the team? I see the script is getting better and better everyday. How in the world we can sit here and say that the Prestashop team does not do their job? How can they satisfy every user, from different counties with different requirements, and laws all at once? If you are one of the members who like to attack the team that think that you know what a “perfect “shopping cart script should look like, why don’t you just set up a company, develop that “perfect” script, and let us use it and kiss the ground you walk on? If you are not capable of doing this job, then just sit back and relax. Since we choose to use Prestashop over other open source scripts, can we try to make Prestashop the best out of it? Can we offer help? Can we support each other? Can we say more “THANK YOU”? Can we act more mature? Disagree? Buddy, so be it, you have to learn you can not always get what you want…. Masino Sinaga
@Newest,I am definitely agree with you. hamster3
Hi Newest, I agree with you. I also would like to say thanks to the developers. This is a good product and I feel that some features are even better than zen-cart.Of course I'm still waiting for the multi-shops functionality that will also be a future trend. But another thing that I don't agree is about Magento. It is not so good as some people comment how good it is. If you google around for Magento negative comments, you canalso find out so many professional people discredit on it.
