perbuch
It is my first time trying to install PrestaShop on the server of my web hotel. Before the installation I checked all prerequisites and I see no contradictions there. During the automatic installation process I managed to correct the access levels on files and folders shown by the installation screen. I also complete creation and validation of the MySQL database. After entering the e-mail address I click Next as requested and now the problems pop up as shown on the two images of the two halves of the screen - see attached files. I have tried searching here for answers and on other support pages but with no success - maybe I am not patient enough? Then have me excused. Anyway, please help the help less as soon as convenient. Thanks a lot Per PS! Sorry for missing profile data - is pending.

perbuch
at install it is trying to delete some cache files, make that folder writable. I did provide delete access in these two folders -> tools / smarty_v2 / cache and tools / smarty_v2 / compile - but with no success - the error messages are the same. perbuch
I need to add that now - after once again clicking the button "Verify my database settings" and awaiting the message "Database is connected.", then I clicked next with excitement. Nothing happens! Nothing at all. I continued clicking but still nothing happens. Anyway, I do not see the previous error messages but I cannot proceed to the next step. What can go wrong here? perbuch
Please HELP ME!! I removed my previous installation and has now started from scratch again. All permissions are set correctly, my whole configuration is valid, I can connect to the MySql database and I have enter a valid e-mail address. But I cannot pass the step called "Database Configuration" clicking the "Next" button and I receive no error messages. Checking the content of my database shows that is is empty, no tables have been created. I know I am repeating myself but: PLEASE HELP ME! Here I install my shop -> http://secure.filipino.dk/webshop/ --------------------------------------------- Edited September 10, 2012 by perbuch (see edit history)
benjamin utterback
Hello perbuch, thank you for the message. Who is your hosting company? If I understand correctly, PrestaShop is saying that your database is configured correctly, yet when you click next, nothing happens? What kind of Server is your hosting company using? I hope we can figure this out!
