hellothere
you have been unable to get their help desk online? I bought a license and had several questions, all of which were answered, even if I required clarification. Sometimes it took a few days, but they eventually took care of me. are you able to get the csv export menu to even show up?

hellothere
OK Nate, here's a bit about how I went about doing it, let me know if you have questions 1) Catalog-> Export CSV brings up the CSV exporter (aka "the goods" :-). If you don't get an error message here (which you indicated you did not), you're farther along than I was not long ago. 2) Skip the top part for now ("export script". You can clone an existing one later. More on that in a bit). Head down to the "mapping" portion. 3) This is where it gets interesting. Click on "Load". Start with any of the pre-defined items. For instance, let's say you chose "Google Merchant". You'll see that it has a series of "fields" (column headings" pre-defined, along with a series of options (ie language of the output, etc). Here's where it gets interesting... click on the icon with the text page and green arrow, right above the "Modifications" column. You'll be prompted to enter a # of rows you would like to add. So, kick in, let's say a 5. 4) You'll now see you have 5 (or however many rows you entered) at the bottom. Click in the white space in a new row under "database field", and scroll through to see all of the possibilities. For fun, choose a bunch of random stuff that is more or less of interest. 5) Click on "save mapping as" and give it a unique name, preferably a descriptive word/phrase with a date so you can make several mappings and load them at will. you can always delete them later. 6) for starters, click on the right to enable ALL categories, just so you can see how SC kicks out data (unless you have a large catalog...). 7) Now that you have your export mapping, go back up to the top. Pick ANY of the scripts. Make any selections to the right as they seem sensible to you, and then click on "load Mapping", and select the mapping you just created earlier. 8) SAVE YOUR SCRIPT!! You now have, in theory, a workable export script that you can repeat. on the bottom left, click on the small green arrow below "export process". You'll either get a descriptive error message, or a file name that you can click on and open in a spreadsheet editor of your choice (I use Open Office). It may take a few tries to get the data to behave properly, depending on the characters used to mark the data fields, etc. Let me know how you get on, if I can be of further help I'd be glad to. But I am not an expert user by any means. Good luck, Phil ps. dude. You're timing is impeccable. their LONG awaited documentation has been released, TODAY. http://www.storecommander.com/lang-en/prestashop/261-pdf-documentation.html Edited September 11, 2012 by hellothere (see edit history)

natebc
HI Store Commander, This is what I got when I ask for help from Store Commander Support.. Thank you Nate. This is a old version you are running, and there is no support contract associated to this installation, which means that you cannot benefit from ticket support nor from Store Commander's updates. I would strongly recommend that you upgrade your Store Commander version.. StoCo
Nate, According to our records you do not have any SC SOLO licence since your version of SC dates wayyyyyyy back and the Solo did not exist at all but purely Sc FREE. Either you are wasting everyone's time on this forum and/or you are using an illegal licence, telling the world that you are frauding? Either way could you please contact us on our support platform urgently and provide your so-called SC Solo licence number please. We woud hate having to take legal action if things can be sorted out amicably.

StoCo
You have NOT sent your license no..Licenses numbers start with SC - xXXXXXXXX and we have NOT had that at all. Anyone using Sc will tell you we provide excellent support and as far as you are concerned we have too. Only you do not seem to have a valid license but only our FREE licenses !!! You are telling stories and potentially frauding too! Do take your business to anyone you like. The only time-waster here very clearly is you and no doubt MOne as astute ukrainien businesspeople will see that too! Good luck to them if they do not. We shall see how to take matters further as far as you are concerned. Edited October 4, 2012 by Store Commander (see edit history)
natebc
Yes I'm using the FREE license of SC. I was not aware that it does not work on exporting csv file. I was told by Karine on another post that I was looking for Google Shopping Module (http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/191884-what-the-best-google-shopping-module/page__fromsearch__1) that since I was a SC customer already that I was able to use SC. But I'm was not because I have the Free one. I apologise to both SC and www.prestashop.com/forums and any readers for my outburst and remark about SC.
