Tax is not calculating anywhere within the store -solved

Recommended Posts

I cannot get the tax to calculate for any products.

I have created new tax rates and new tax rules and set them as default , however its not calculating in the back end, on the site or in the cart.

also Im want to set tax per country, but the configuration only shows to regions for Ireland (Galway and Clare) where do I edit this to Either remove these two locations, or otherwise to add the missing 30 locations ) any help would be appreciated , thank you,

Mark

here is an example product

tax is not calculating or being displayed and nothing seems to let me change this?

in back office-->payent-->taxes

do you have taxes enabled?

to add countries that you deliver to, back office-->shipping-->countries

then add the country

then back office-->payment-->taxes

create a tax for a specific country

then back office-->payment-->taxes rules

assign the new tax to the country(s)

hope this helps

thanks Elpatron .again :)

I do have the tax configured and set up and applied to the country etc. but unfortunately it is still not calculating or displaying... I have googled it quite a bit and as far as I can see its all configured correctly...

however my screen looks a bit different to yours too.. there is no 'display tax in cart' option... but having said that, it does not display it in the store either? I am on PrestaShop™ 1.4.9.0

thanks Elpatron..

Hi Elpatron, I think I have it.. Ireland was not set as the default country and I had only set tax rates for Ireland.. thanks again for your help.

You saved my life dude. I had to move a 1.5 to 1.6 version and I had done ANYTHING, taxes etc. That was the issue. I thought about it in the first place (out of a bit of experience -- but there wasn't showing any tax field neither in the backend so I thought that it may be some technical issue) thanx again
