trinoweb
Hey guys, first time poster... great product. My Question: Is there an option to set different prices for different groups? For example: When I add an item I want to set 3 prices. 1 price for non-logged in buyers (what everybody sees) 1 price for regular logged in members and 1 price for "elite" logged in members Thanks. I looked everywhere and can't come up with the solution. Van
El Patron
Without a module or hack you would need a manual method. customer groups 1 price for non-logged in buyers (what everybody sees) - PS assigns non-logged in buyers to 'default group' 1, so this works naturally, 1 price for regular logged in members - You would need to assign logged in members, post registration to group name 'logged in member' for example and 1 price for "elite" logged in members - You would need to assign these members, post registration to group named 'elite group' for example note previously logged in visitors who are assigned to 'logged or elite' groups may have their group in their unexpired cookie and thus would see see your site from the perspective of that group (needs to be tested) Edited September 5, 2012 by elpatron (see edit history)
trinoweb
Thanks for the reply elpatron, so there are options already built into presto shop to set 3 price tiers?
El Patron
yes, go to customers-->groups create your groups... and assign away...Note: When your new customer logs in they will still see your site in 'default group', you have to manually change them. That is why it's, well, ugly. Edited September 6, 2012 by elpatron (see edit history)

El Patron
I would also look in the add-ons and other 3rd party modules, though I don't think they have written the module I have in mind, most allow the customer to choose their own group from their account settings, which I find as a useless feature. Sorry if I'm going on but groups while very useful for pricing, discounts etc...the management of it is awful. Now I'm wondering if 1.5 improved this.
