[SOLVED] PayPal Module - No Email Notifications

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've set up a shop using prestashop, and I am using PayPal as my only payment method. I am not receiving any email notifications when a customer places an order, even though prestashop recognises that the order has been paid for by paypal. Also, if I change the payment method to cheque to test, it works perfectly and sends me an email notification. I am worried that the customer will not be receiving an order confirmation either. Could there be a reason for this, for example PayPal not returning the customer back to the site. If so, how do I change the settings to allow this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Greg.

what kind of pay pal module do you use

there are a few modifications in the forum.
you should receive an email from paypal of the transfer

also you need to tell paypal to allow the customer to go back to your site.

if you open a sandbox account in your paypal account you can test purchase in your shop to see how it works.

If the Order is created at your store, it means Paypal has posted back the payment information.
An order confirmation should be sent to customer from PrestaShop. But by default, PrestaShop will not send the order confirmation email to store owner.

If you want get this email, you need to install "Mail alerts" module and configure it at you back office.
