Edit short Description not working

I cannot edit the short product description. I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and Explorer. I'm using Prestashop 1.4.8.2. I have not found the answer yet. I looked through the forum for answers with no luck.

You have errors or what? If changes appear in back office and don't appear in front office try to turn on force compile in prestashop back office: Preferences -> performance and refresh site.

The editing does not show up on the website. It does show up in the back office.

When you say turn on force compile, does that mean you leave it on at all times? Or do you save and then switch it back off?

Force compile should only be enabled when you're updating products (if you don't see any changes) and during modifications you wish to do in your store\theme. When you're satisfied and everything is as it should, you disable it. You should also turn off Cache while doing updates or modifications. If you still don't see any changes you can try to manually delete your cache and try refreshing
