dead links and 301 redirect - help

Had an old website which google had indexed, but build a new one in prestashop. Now i have som dead links with 404 fail, which i want to redirect.

 

i have read a lot about it, and want to do this through my htaccess file, but i am a bit confuset abiut this step.

 

my actual htaccess file have a lot of rewrites and codes. do i change these rewrites or shoud i not touch these rewrites?

 

I read that the redirect code is:

redirect 301 /oldfile.htm http://www.example.com/newfile.htm

but how do i add the 301 redirect to htaccess file with alt the rewrite codes? can i just make a line spacing and the add into a new line?
