Size and attribute issues?

Hi,

 

We sell quite a few shoes in our shop and some of the models have several colors and sizes. However, this is where we bump into trouble. For example, we're selling the Asics Kayano 18 in blue and red. A customers comes to the site - preset it Kayano 18 blue size 43. The customer wants size 42, which is out of stock in the blue version but not in the red version. Meanwhile size 43 is out of stock in the red version thus making it difficult for the customer to actually find that size 42 in red is available How do you guys solve this loop?

And thanks! :-) Maybe I was a bit unclear in the post. The difficulty I'm facing is that customers cant choose the size they want.

 

Again:

We got shoe color X, shoe color y. Size 42, size 43.

 

When customer comes to the page shoe color X and size 42 is displayed. Shoe color X size 43 is out of stock hence is not displayed as an option. Customer wants to buy shoe color y size 43 (shoe color y size 42 is out of stock). shoe color y size 43 is in stock. but there'e no way for the customer being able to choose that as he cannot change the size or color from the bar.

 

It's a bit tricky but do you get what I mean?
