m-graphix
I am using PayPal module version 3.0.9 (latest one) and my customers cannot pay with a credit card using Paypal. Paypal module will throw a "Fatal error (Address -> address1 is empty)" after typing the credit card number and address. My customers became irritated by this and I cannot afford this to happen. Anyone has found any fix for this problem? Your help is appreciated. Thanks. Mike

boblaw
I reverted to Paypal v2.87 and all is working again. The checkout seems to have 1 extra step, but it is working. I tried versions 3.10, 3.09, and 3.12 and had trouble with all. When checking out while using 3.12 it is clear that the addresses on "Step 3 Address" are completely blank. They exist in the DB and they exist on the prior page (or 2 back, I can't recall), but they are clearly coming up blank on the step 3 page. This data isn't there and therefore Paypal fails when it attempts to pull (or it didn't get pushed). Either way, you could probably dig in and fix, but I will use 2.87 and wait for a patch. Bottom line, 2.87 works with Prestashop 1.4.9. I have a local copy of the Paypal module if you can't find that version online. Message me if you like. You can contact me through the form at http://www.mark2media.com/contact.cfm if you like. Place Prestashop somewhere in the message body and I will receive. Zendoboi
I've tried Paypal 3.1.0 and i'm stuck at Step 3 too...... Just need a stable version..... Boblaw, are you able to share the working version of 2.8.7 ?
boblaw
Zendoboi, I do have a copy of 2.87. Not sure if I am allowed to post, but I know that it will help a number of people. I had a hard time finding a solution for this issue. Reverting to an earlier version probably isn't best, but it works and that will be a big relief to a lot o people having issues. http://www.mark2media.com/paypal-prestashop.cfm
kashyyyk
Thanks bonlaw, I'm going to give this a try too. I coudn't find any info on downgrading versions, Do I delete and remove the prior version and just install the 2.87 version? Or just install the 2.87? boblaw
Dan, I simply used the install function from within Prestashop. Top of "Modules" page. Click "Add a module from my computer". Right hand side "Module File > Choose file". I went from 3.2 to 2.87 using that method. Seems to do an overwrite and work fine. Bob Thanks bonlaw, I'm going to give this a try too. barefoot
I had the same error, but the fix is very easy. Go to your Back Office and to your Shipping tab and then click on Countries and then go to each country(or the countries you take orders from) and check the following in the adress layout. It will probably look something like this: firstname lastname company address1 address2 city, State:name postcode Country:name phone You just have to put address2 on a new line. So it will look like: firstname lastname company address1 address2 city, State:name postcode Country:name phone This fixed it for me.
benjamin utterback
Hi barefoot, what version of PrestaShop were you using when this fix worked?
barefoot
1.4.9, but I am not even sure if this did it, because I dont get a lot of paypal payments anyway. I do know that a particular customer had this error and he didnt after I changed this. But it would be better if other people check this if this works
benjamin utterback
HI barefoot, thank you for the advice. We can keep this open and maybe it will help other merchants to check. Happy Selling!
