Editing tmfooterlinks problems

Hi Prestahop forum,

 

I am having problems with my footer links. I will put the process I tried in a logical sequence. If anyone can assist, it would be greatly appreciated.

 

I want to add a page as a link to the area shown in the red box - see below

 

 

In my Tools > CMS, the page I want to add to the red box is the secure payment page. I also want to take out the Contacts link, as there is already a contacts link at the top of the page.

 

 

The original tmfooterlinks.tpl looks like this

 

 

The area shaded in red, is the area that shows up in Tools > CMS. the other footer links, I have no idea where to find them in the CMS.

 

For your info, I changed About us, FAQs and Privacy policy using translations and that is working fine.

 

I changed the tmfooterlinks.tpl file to look like this, see image below

 

 

 

The changes I made was in the red box, I removed the line for the contact link. I added the secure payment link. in the blue box i removed the link to manufacturers.

 

When I reloaded and force compiled, nothing happended, no changes were made. Refer back to the first image and it looks exactly the same.

 

Spending hours on this, someone, please help .

 

It seems also that my footer links only allow 5 links under the word "INFORMATION." That's why I wanted to take out the contact link.

 

Additionally does anyone know of a module that can directly edit the footer links, would make build of this site a whole lot easier.

When I reloaded and force compiled, nothing happended, no changes were made. Refer back to the first image and it looks exactly the same.

Delete all files from /tools/smarty/compile/ directory except index.php and try again. The theme may also be using a template in /themes/modules/[module]/ directory.
