miggy
Hello everyone Im very new to working on website. I recently purchased 2 templates & had a company install them for me. I have started to make some changes to one of the sites using my back office. (ex. www.mysite.com/admin009) I recently tired to login again to my back office, but it wont allow me (page is now unavailable) I have checked the website files on my remote server & compared both sites. I have noticed that one of the sites (www.mysite.com/admin009) is missing the admin file folder..is this the reason why i cant login?? if so..how do it fix it??? Many thanks
shokinro
You must use the correct the back office URL to log in. Did you input correct URL? from your description, I guess you input wrong URL Maybe you renamed to something else and you forgot? Also please check the folder/files permissions folder: 755 files: 644 If you folder is really missing (lost), you can just copy it from another site (assume they are the same). miggy
Hi many thanks for the reply. yes i checked the url...its correct. i had access to the back office before. but now the admin009 folder is not showing on my local or remote server....so i take its lost? I have looked at my other site and the admin folder is showing. so can i just copy that to my local files and upload it? for example that folder is called admin477.............so my new login would become www.mysite.com/admin477....correct? Yes, you can do that as long as the PrestaShop has the same version and you do not have made any changes. Also you can try to look for the missing folder under other folders, some time you will move it by mistake on FTP tools.
miggy
i have checked all the folders..i cant see it anywhere ok so if i copy and paste the other admin files from my other site..(they all seem to be the same) so example...before my old back office login was.....www.mystore.com/admin009....then it would take me to the back office login page....but my new login would be www.mystore.com/admin477....do i still use my old username and password for admin009...or do i have to use the username and password of admin477? shokinro
so example...before my old back office login was.....www.mystore.com/admin009....then it would take me to the back office login page....but my new login would be www.mystore.com/admin477....do i still use my old username and password for admin009...or do i have to use the username and password of admin477? user name and password are saved in database, it has nothing to do with the admin folder name. So you should use old username and password at www.mystore.com/admin009 After copy the folder, you can rename the folder admin477 to admin099. Assumption: the PrestaShop must have the same version and you do not have any customization changes on the code.
