I reverted to a backup, but im wondering if i could have done something else about it? thanks
blmod
Hi, Have you checked this files exist or not they are? Try to re-install only the "uhumenucategories" module
arthurganem
The files actually didn't exist, im not sure what caused prestashop to start looking for those names, this happened to me often i just always reverted to backups. in future i will try that. thank you. arthurganem
Ok, i figured out what has caused this problem, its whenever i enable friendly URLs and check the optimization option (Did it again and here it is). I tried reinstalling the module, resetting it, re-uploading old files through FTP and none of it helped. Those files don't exist and didn't exist in the older backed up version, so i'm clue less as to why it is happening, for some reason whenever i enable Friendly URLs Prestashop decides then to look for those files and screw up my front office. Right now only thing i can do is not use the Friendly URLs and backup Edited September 5, 2012 by arthurganem (see edit history)
benjamin utterback
Hello arthurganem, Thank you for the message. Who is your hosting provider? Friendly URL will work with the right server configuration. Is it an apache server, if so what version is it running?
arthurganem
I am using hosting24.com, Here is the server info from cpanel cPanel Version 11.32.4 (build 14) Theme x3 Apache version 2.2.22 PHP version 5.3.13 MySQL version 5.1.63-cll Architecture x86_64 Operating system linux Dedicated IP Address 212.1.208.109 Path to sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail Path to Perl /usr/bin/perl Perl version 5.10.1 Kernel version 2.6.32-379.1.1.lve1.1.7.6.el6.x86_64 cPanel Pro 1.0 (RC1) I reverted to a back up and am not using the friendly URLs, but I really would like to have them and the gzip compression since my host doesn't support CacheFS and MemCache PECL. This affects greatly site performance, and I have my last hope on gzip and the friendly URLs are just nice to have too In future I will most likely move hosts, I just don't have the time within this month Again thanks.
