tdr170
I am unable to see a way to enter County surtax with 1.5 there is not even a county table within the database as in 1.4. In 1.4 we entered the county and it's surtax in the payment/ tax section with the States then added counties and there zip codes in the shipping/ counties section and finally under payment/ tax rule we configured the taxes to add both to the counties within our State. ( been awhile so something like that ) In my case here in Florida we are a destination State and as such must collect tax based on point of delivery, (Sourced from Florida Dept. Of Revenue) so I must be able to have all the Counties and their surtax configured within the taxes. In 1.5 under tax rules I see a place to enter a zip range but that does not work in Florida with the surtax because the surtax ranges from .5 - 1.5% and the zip codes sometimes fall into 2 different counties. In 1.4 I entered all the counties and all the zips 1 by 1 and when I found one that was in two counties I added it to the higher surtaxed county. (prestashop gives you a message if zip is already in use) Does anyone have any insight into this, can 1.5 can't be configured to add County surtax. hernanlr
Hi, I have this problem with verson 1.4.7.3 but the classes file is correct on my website, so that is not the problem. Can you please send me a printscreen of the tax rule that affects, let´s say Miami-Dade?
hernanlr
I have created the whole list of counties for FL. Added all zip codes to each county Created a county tax of 1.00 for Miami-Dade Created a tax rule for Miami-Dade, where Florida would tax 6% and both taxes, and ONLY Miami-Dade (out of all the list of counties) would also charge both taxes. Then, I made a purchase with a delivery address in 33131 (which I double checked and it´s assigned correctly to Miami-Dade county. Still, my check out tax is only 6%. Any idea on what could be the problem? Thanks for your help!
tdr170
This is correct and not correct, Florida is a destination state therefore you must collect tax based on point of delivery. So you need to charge surtax for all counties that have one. In 1.4.7.3 there are no known issues with setting the taxes. Under Payment, Taxes you entered all counties like in first pic. Then under Shipping, Counties you have all the counties, second pic, third pic is how zips should be listed for each county. Now in Payment, Tax Rules should be set like pic 4. Here is a great tutorial watch the videos it will help. http://www.prestatraining.com/set-up-taxes-in-prestashop-v1-4/ Edited November 27, 2012 by tdr170 (see edit history)

WebUp
Me also. I think PrestaShop team is joking with their users, so many complaints and they still haven't offered a solution. Amateur behaviour...
