problems uploading images

Hi.

 

Sometime i have problems uploading images to my pages and the description, and other times it works fine.

It is only for the pages, not the product images.

 

Does anybody know what wrong since i can't upload images to my sites?

It is pretty frustrating :/

i am using the build in image uploader, for each page description.

This is defineatly a puzzler & I understand your frustration. I have never had a problem uploading an image with any prestashop - except one time, on a Nivo Slider (but that was a module I used from 3rd party).

 

What I did was open that particular file via FTP, and slipped up my images to it through a backdoor. BUT, yours is entirely different.

 

First, is it a certain module you are using to put the pictures in? If it is, then unistall it and put it back up again?

 

Second course of question/action....is it a template you are using to put the pictures in? Try what I suggest on the first.

 

Third, Can you back it all up, and re-install presta?

 

Maybe there is a corrupt file somewhere, and this has always been my main culprit in handling these cases. But, I'm intermediate compared to others. Just trying to help. I hate when I get no responses either. And, at the same time, I would hit the problem as such.

Hi orangeblossom.

It is pretty much some crap. but most weird is that it is only in safari i can't upload images, if i am using firefox there is no problem at all.

 

it is the prestashop build in image uploader, i am using not a add on.

i am using the prestashop standard template.

I have had similar problems with different browsers, especially IE9. It turns out that it was incompatibilities with the flash/ajax upload form. I just try different browsers until one works.

 

This is not a problem with just Prestashop. I have the same issues with several open source projects I use and Scribd.com has been suffering the same problem.

hey guys,i have some problems with uploading images as well.when i list a product and i want to put an image it gives this error: undefined.i'm using the build in prestashop module,i re-installed prestashop,even added the new release.i thought i resolved the problem,i listed 4 items and on the 5th the dammed error again.i've given 777 permission on everything,i mean everything.what should i do,besides throwing everything on the window.

please help
