But the extra overhead can slow certain pages down. Unless you implement a credit card payment directly into your site, you don't HAVE to have it. Dh42 Posted August 15, 2012 Share Posted August 15, 2012 In general it is good to have. There are basically 2 types of ssl certificates, regular and ev certificates. I normally pay about $8-10us a year for a regular and 140usd a year for an ev certificate. So it sounds like they are selling you a regular certificate. The price is too high.
