tomerg3
Try Livezilla, there's a built in module in Prestashop and it's free...
rseigel
My fave is Woopra. http://www.woopra.com There's a free version but you really need the paid one to get the most of it. There's also a free Presta module for it.
fitgura
Sorry Tomreg3, but livezilla isn't free since this year I think! We changed it to mibew, what really simple to install, and fully customizable, and it is really free, and do not hard your server mibew.org
tomerg3
Hmm, it's still free, we use it on our site.

natebc
Thanks fitgura, tomerg3, rseigel and Live2Support To rseigel and Live2Support the one you are talking about are good but are paid monthly and at this time I just don't have the money to pay for chat. But thank you for your inputs. To fitgura and tomerg3 I will look at both but do you know if you can monitor 3-4 websites at the same time? Thank you for all your help Nate
fitgura
I never try it, but I think is not a problem, because you just implement sole code into the website, that call the mibew 'server' and you are ready to chat.. belive me, I used livezilla, after that zopim for a half year, but mibew knows evrything we need (5 assistant at a same time, full statistic) for free
benjamin utterback
I believe that the updated version of LiveZilla does ask for a fee. One of our merchants had a heck of a time getting a refund.

I hope it works out, as long as I can set it up were I can monitor 3-4 websites at the same time that will help out a-lot. Just to let ever on know again. DON'T use craftysyntax.com I have paid for the Pro even thought its $45, and even thought you pay for the Pro like me. Eric the owner dose not help any one at all even if you paid for it. If any one else know of any good free live chat please post them. Thanks Nate
keweli
I recommend zopim which has a good javascript API for method calls and customisation. You can see an example I have implemented on http://www.iparadise.com.au
benjamin utterback
Yes there are options for free live chat. However, the functionality and capabilities of the free version is going to vary. It's good that you are taking the time to really look at all of your options.
jimmyc
I recommend zopim. all my clients that use chat use it. one is doing great business with it and needs to upgrade. But it is really great. it shows the page the client is on and the locale they are from (globally) etc. Fantastic for his business. All free. HE will upgrade after the trial that they seemed to extend for him and at under $100 per year (there is some discount offer at the moment) it is totally worth it for that store. All the others (of my clients) are not at his selling capacity yet, so if you run a store that is small, zopim will probably remain free for a long time. Try it. see if it fits. It's free for one operator! And easy to install in prestashop. Normally i would not say this. but after seeing what it did for my client ( for free) I have to recommend it as a trial at least. Try it. Wow i sound like i work for them HA.
jimmyc
I should mention I do not work for them at all. And i make my clients pay direct for the service so i do not profit. I do like seeing a service that lets you trial the full version for free, and then charging a very reasonable price when business gets good for them. So ui feel compelled to give them this plug. That is the kind of business i like. I hope they do really well. (if they aren't already)
vekia
i also recommend zopim, we used it and it works like a charm this chat is in free & paid version, moreover - you can try premium version for 14 days
benjamin utterback
We use chatpocket.com on our website. Just include some code on your website and it is done. You receive chats on your account and everyone can write to you from your website. Wow! Such Spam! Banned. Live Chat is overrated. You want a free module that provides you ways to grow. Check out the free social reviews module, Yotpo. They are one of the best in the business and offer great support.
