How to move prestashop from subdomain to live public html server?

Recommended Posts

Hi all prestashop users.

I'm still quiet new to prestashop, but i have built a new prestshop, after using woocommer for wordpress for a long time, because i want a more customer friendly webshop and a better seo optimized webshop.

So what i need now is to move my prestashop from my subdomain to my live public_html but how do i do this?

Can or will somebody please be kind to tell my step by step how i do move my prestashop, which files i have to change, and what i have have to change these files to, the files locations and so.

Hope somebody will help my through these steps.

Thanks in advance.

First of all, from your hosting cpanel, change the redirection of your domain to the domain of your future prestashop folder.

Then from Back Office, under Preferences>SEO & URLs make the root "/", mainpage: index.php, domain: www.yourdomain.com, SSL domain: www.yourdomain.com

And save. That's all.

I examinde your account. What you need to do:

1. Backup and remove the files in the public_html root

2. Go to your Back Office of Prestashop, Then from Back Office, under Preferences>SEO & URLs make the root "/", mainpage: index.php, domain: www.q-skins.dk, SSL domain: www.q-skins.dk

2. Move your files under your subdomain's folder (that is shop in this case) into public_html root

3. Then you can open your website using your domain.

Good luck.
