mimran
hi everyone any news on the expected time for a stable release please? regards
Peter Wilson
Hi mimran, We're still working hard on it, and it shouldn't be long now. We're hoping to have RC3 out by Monday, but please don't take that as a guarantee. I could take longer; some of these bugs are very stubborn! :-

beate
Good question Would you suggest to go live with 0.9.7, if my customer wants to sell things? Will it be easy to migrate to 1.0 with an active shop? Thanks.
Marije
Yes, I also urgently need an answer. Would it be an option to start entering data in this version and then update to version 1.0???
extravio_ar
Same question. I need to start a shop and I would love to use PS 1.0 Will the Spanish Language be built-in in the RC3? I tried to install it from the files in the translation section but it's kind of a mess... Keep on the good work.
dariusake
Thank you for what you're doing, I can barely wait for the new release. Keep on the good work.
Pursuant
I can't wait for the new release so I can see if they made HTML valid for order messages. Nobody on the dev team seems to respond to my requests.

Intrami
I getting curious to as off when the stable release will be released We will have to wait another few years for the stable release It's been a month since the last RC, and the next release is still another RC. At this point, people will start looking for alternatives to Prestashop
Tyler
Hi All What alternatives you suggest Intrami?
Pursuant
Tyler: Trust me, I have tested every free alternative I could find - programmed in everything from asp to asp.net to php (including magento)- and none have come close to the ease and reliability of Prestashop. At this time, it would be well worth your time to sit back, wait a short while and install the best there is when v1.0 stable is released.
Intrami
I am not going to use any other alternatives, as I believe Prestashop will be the most easy and reliable system. However, the stable version was supposed to be released before the end of february. I don't mind to wait, it is what I am doing after all. However, I think that other users won't feel very comfortable with this, waiting for new releases that never seem to come. It's been a whole month since the last RC, and a lot of features are still to be done. And again, I love Prestashop and will wait until the end no matter what, but I still think that the release schedule is very important for a project. I personally don't recommend any other e-commerce solution. Prestashop is EXACTLY what I need: it's easy, it's fast and it's very complete. The only snag are the releases It takes forever to see a new release and they're not really RCs... more like beta, because it's full of bugs Oooh... I think I'll have a heart attack when they release the stable version ;D ;D Let me thank you again for all the work and effort you guys put in Prestashop. haluzman
yes, i thinking of alternative, because there is no release schedule and last version (full of bugs) was released month ago. and there is no date for the next release (propably also full of bugs and not completed features) at first i was impressed by PrestaShop, but now i am only confused. PS is far away from ready to run real shop. it is shame. now a play with magento and i also try CS-CART which is very very good, but commercial. and there is no support for my language. hm. Pursuant
What do you expect for free. Version .9.7 is perfectly fine for running a real shop at this time - many have done so and continue to do so at this time with no problems. Download Prestashop and look through the code - every single .php file was typed by someone who is getting paid not a single cent to do so. So, stop complaining! If you want a stable release - HELP! Report bugs, learn PHP. But complaining will do nothing to aide the process.
beate
I also doesn't want to complain, I just wanted to know if it makes sense for me to fix the bux in 0.9.7 so that I can go online with it... I think this question must be allowed.
Pursuant
Yes, I agree. I didn't mean to come across as rude. My point was this: there is a TON of code behind prestashop, and NO system is without bugs, even after years of stable releases. I have found nothing thus-far in v1.0 RC2 that would make me NOT want to go live with it.
SeerKan
It's sad we can't receve a realistic release date for rc 3, it been more than 1 month, I asked by e-mail 4-5 days ago and I was told that monday will be released, nothing happened, then I was told that paypal bug was resolved and will be released today but it seems noting will happen, only a new topic opend (bugs for rc3) but I don't get it since rc 3 is not public... Don't get me wrong, I know it's hard and very much work but a realistic release date could be very apreciated by many people...
ejectcore
My guess is RC3 will be released within the next 12hrs otherwise why would there be a new section v1.0 RC3 under bugs category of this forum ??? I feel we can all help the Presta Team as a community which will hopefully in the future speed up development issues http://www.prestashop.com/forum/index.php/topic,2049.0.html
SeerKan
Seems that's not quite right... I realy can't understand why they say rc3 it will be realesed and they don't release it, at least tell us what's the problem, maybe someone can help or something... Tyler
Hi all! After months of trying different e-commerce solutions the three better than were i found are Prestashop, Comersus and Magento. Prestashop is excellent, but is under development and still lack way to go, but I think we are on the right way and will become the best solution e-commerce of the market. Comersus and Magento is really difficult and not very friendly to install and configure, I prefer the versatility of Prestashop. I have the same opinion of other members of the forum about the delay in release oh Prestashop v1 reading this post and I found the solution through Haluzman. I tried CS-Cart as a last resort and i have a heart atack, that the software is AMAZING, the best of the best I've seen, no matter the commercial price. CS-Cart have another level! Ox40 do you tried CS-Cart? Haluzman youre the man! Thanks a lot! Really i love Prestashop but now a whait for next version calm! Sorry for my English! haluzman
yes, CS-CART is very very good, excelent software, if it is for free, there is no competition for this eshop. there are many templates, many addons, full of features in default installation, and so on. CS-CART is one of the best, but commercial. hm.
