royke9393
Hello, I'm trying to import products into my shop with a .csv file. Most of it works just fine, but it doesnt seem to import the images... The images are referred to by a url. The url works fine. When i copy it into my browser it shows my picture just fine. The url's look like this: "http://www.wave-computers.nl/pix/prodpic/200x200/9/9gttdq01.jpg" Does anybody have any idea why Prestashop cant import the images? By the way: I don't get any errors Thanks!

Guest
Hi OK, this is the process as far as I can remember You have to use FTP to put the images into a folder called Upload. This folder is in the root of the prestashop installation so it should be http://www.whatever.com/upload (for us because we use a subdirectory it is www.whatever.co.uk/prestashop/upload) Once you have the files in there, then you can use the import CSV by using the URL of the image in the upload folder e.g. http://whatever.com/upload/image1.jpg This is the only way to import images as far as I know. You can import images from just any URL it has to be from the upload folder Also, depending on your host the system might time out if you try to do more than around 20 at a time because of the manipulation going on
