Recommended Posts

Regards,

A few minutes ago I received an email with the subject: "[PrestaShop] Authorize.net AIM Module - Security notice."

Curiously, the sender is "PrestaShop[email protected]a través de mail49.us1.mcsv.net" in previous e-mails will not be received this way from servers of Mailchimp.

Please verify the authenticity of this mail, informing an update Authorize.net module.

I appreciate a prompt response, I'm paranoid (?)

For those that didn't the email here is the contents.

Dear PrestaShop user,

It is PrestaShop's mission to offer the best e-commerce solution to online merchants around the world. Part of ensuring each merchants success rests in our ability to provide the highest security standards as part of our solution.

Thanks to Lesley Paone, an active community member and pioneer of the forum, we have been made aware of a potential security loophole in older versions of the Authorize.net AIM module. You are receiving this email because you might be using a version of the Authorize.net AIM module that may have such security loophole. Continuing to use this older module could result in the exploitation of the security loophole by fraudsters and may harm your business. While there have been no reports from users or merchants of a security breach, PrestaShop has developed a fix in the latest version of the Authorize.net module.

We kindly urge you to download and install the new version of the module immediately in order to continue enjoying the best e-commerce experience with PrestaShop. By doing so, your store will be protected from this exploit.

You can download the latest version of the module by clicking here.
