Im trying to add a module above the main pages block as a sort of horizontal site links so ive created a hook to put the module in but unsure on where to place the hook

As you can see at the moment it is inside the main pages content does anybody know how i can get it just above that area but below where the logo and search box is

 

Any help would be a great help or even just to point me in the right direction
